Prof. T N Srinivasan

Prof. T N Srinivasan is currently Samuel C Park Jr. Professor of Economics, Yale University. He did his MA (1958) and PhD (1962) from the Yale University.

He has held various distinguished positions including Visiting Professor, University of Minnesota; Research Associate, International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis, Luxemburg, Austria; Special Adviser, Development Research Centre, The World Bank; Visiting Lecturer (part time) Johns Hopkins University; Visiting Professor, MIT; Professor, ISI; Visiting Professor and Ford Faculty Research Fellow, Stanford University, to name a few.

He has been the recipient of several awards including Honour Award from the Association of Indians in America, 1989; Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, 1982; Third Harry G Johnson Memorial Lecturer, Geneva, 1981; Hony. Member, American Economic Association, 1976.

Dr. Srinivasan has published extensively in national and international journals of repute and his latest publications include: Developing Countries and the Multilateral Trading System: From the GATT (1947) to the Uruguay Round and the Future Beyond, Boulder Colorado: Westview Press, 1998; Advances in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics-Essays in Honour of Professor C R Rao (co-edited by G S Maddala, and Peter Phillips), Cambridge, Massachusetts: Basil Blackwell Ltd., 1995; Handbook of Development Economics, Vol 3 (co-edited by Jere Behrman), 1995 Amsterdam: North Holland, 1995 and India's Economic Reforms, (with Jagdish Bhagwati) New Delhi: Ministry of Finance, 1993.
