Dr. Mustafa Kamal Mujeri

Dr. Mustafa Kamal Mujeri is the Coordinator of the SC. Dr. Mujeir joined Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS) as Director General on April 1, 2009. He took over from Dr. Quazi Shahabuddin who was the Director General, BIDS during the past six years. Before joining the Institute, Dr. Mujeri was the Chief Economist of the Bangladesh Bank. Prior to this he served as UNDP Advisor in Combodia, Earlier he served in CIRDAP, Planning Commission, BIDS and Rajshahi University in various capacities. Dr. Mujeri has done extensive research in the field of poverty and macro policy analysis, and application of modeling and quantitative techniques in development planning. He has to his credit a large number of publications in reputed journals both at home and abroad.
