Mr Basudev Dahal

Mr Basudev Dahal, exective director of IIDS.The Governing Council of the Institute for Integrated Development Studies (IIDS) has appointed Mr Basudev Dahal as the Executive Director of the Institute with immediate effect. Mr Dahal holds an MBA degree from Harvard Business School, USA, and an Engineering degree from the University of Roorkee, India. Dahal started his career as an Assistant Engineer in the Ministry of Water and Power in Nepal. Was once in-charge of the management of water supply system in Kathamndu. He has served in various capacities in multilateral development financing institutions. He was Assistant President, Program Management Department, International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) during 1994-1996. He also had a long working career in Asian Development Bank, among others, Director General, Pacific Department, Head of Operation Evaluation Department, Chief, Development Policy Office, Chief, Bangladesh Resident Office. He was a Senior Economic Adviser, Ministry of Finance, GON, from 2006 to 2007.
